An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Undermanager to join our client at a coal mine in New South Wales!

As a Undermanager, you will oversee supervisors, workers, and contractors during shifts, ensuring safe and effective completion of mining and maintenance tasks to meet targets. Flexibility across all shifts is required to provide supervision and ensure operational tasks align with the daily plan.

Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following criteria;

• Hold a current Undermanager certificate of competence and a NSW practicing certificate.

• Possess at least 3 years of supervisory experience in an underground coal mine.

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of statutory health and safety requirements.

• Have proven leadership skills in an underground team setting.

• Exhibit proficiency in risk management and problem-solving.

• Ability to prioritise mine resources and optimise processes while upholding safety standards.

• Proven capacity to manage dynamic situations.

• Ensure compliance with maintenance of competence requirements.
